Mae Chu: My Makeup Essentials

Hi girls! I'm sure most of you want to look your best at all times and makeup is a great way to enhance your facial features. But sometimes, you might not have all the time in the world to get ready. Here are some products that I use to help me look good and not homeless like how I do when I just get out of bed.

1. CC Cream & Loose Powder

Having a good complexion is the most important step to looking good. With good complexion, it's half the battle won. You can't look too bad if your complexion is good.

Most of you would be more familiar with BB cream. But I'm using CC (color control) cream because it helps to brighten your face and it lasts throughout the day so you do not need to touchup your makeup often. However, the coverage is very little. So I recommend that you use BB cream or liquid foundation if you need the extra coverage. The loose powder helps set the CC cream so that it lasts throughout the day. Both products that I'm using are from the Faceshop.

2. Eyebrow Pencil

Some of you might think it's pointless to draw your eyebrows or that it does not make a difference to your face. But trust me, it does, unless you already have perfectly shaped ones that do not need to be filled. Even then, changing your eyebrow shape could change your whole look. Here is Michelle Phan's brow tutorial on how to change your look by just drawing your brows in different ways.

3. Mascara

It helps open up your eyes and gives you fuller looking lashes.

4. Lip Tint

It adds color to your lips and doubles up as a blush. Regular lip-gloss would have the sticky feeling but lip tint doesn't.

Applying all of these products would only take around 5 minutes. So, if you're feeling lazy or in a hurry, just apply these and you're ready to go!
